Google Docs
This seems like a great new tool. I see the disadvantage of having a web based program - in terms of being able to work online. But version control alone, as was stated in the video, would be more than enough reason to use a tool like Google Docs. Certainly faculty would love this feature, since I am always getting questions about how to share personal file management databases with researchers in other buildings and other instutitions. So collaboration is a huge drawing point for any new software. My mind is whirling away thinking of all the collaborative projects I can use this for.....

Deeeelicious!
I'm grooving on this del.icio.us thing. But what a time sucker. I would love to move my favorites in to del.icio.us. I feel very distractible in here - I keep seeing new sites that others have linked to and I go check those out and then I check links from there out and then and then and then.
But I think it would help me get organized if I can focus more. I could see setting up something like this for the nursing students - it's more engaging than a standard list and an easier way for people to share web sites they like. So it could really be an organic process. I can see how tagging could get ugly - garbage in, garbage out kind of thing. But natural language tagging makes more sense to users than MeSH or LC headings, so this is probably the way to go.
Again - thanks for getting me into these toys that I have heard about but never had the time/energy/motivation to go check out.
